Strong Kids. On and Off The Mats.
Our kids program is designed to help children develop skills that carry far beyond Jiu Jitsu.
Through age appropriate instruction, games, drills, and live training, students work on:
-
Confidence and self-esteem
-
Discipline and focus
-
Problem solving under pressure
-
Coordination, strength, and fitness
-
Respect for coaches and teammates
-
Real world self defense skills
-
Learning how to win AND lose well
And because we're a No-Gi Jiu Jitsu program, kids can get started with simple no zipper athletic clothing, no expensive uniform required.

Coach Jacob
Jacob brings 11 years of grappling experience to the mats, including 7 years of Jiu Jitsu and 4 years of wrestling.
As our Kids Coach, his focus is creating an environment where kids can have fun while learning solid Jiu Jitsu fundamentals, discipline, confidence, and how to be a great teammate.
Our Bead Progression System
Our bead progression system gives students a visual way to celebrate their growth and recognize the work they're putting in on the mats.
As they train, develop their skills, and reach milestones, they earn beads marking their progression.
It's not just about becoming better at Jiu Jitsu, It's about teaching kids that consistency + effort = progress.

This Isn't Your Average Kids Sports Program
Training is the foundation, but some of the best memories happen when we do something a little different.
Throughout the year, Athens Jiu Jitsu hosts special events that bring our students and families together, including Jiu Jitsu in the Streets, where we take the mats outside for an unforgettable day of training, community, and fun,
Homeschool Jiu Jitsu
Jiu Jitsu During the School Day
Our Homeschool Jiu Jitsu program gives local homeschool families another way to add movement, fitness, confidence, and practical skills to their week.
Students work through functional movement, Jiu Jitsu fundamentals, defense, technique, and games designed to reinforce the skills they're learning.
Fitness + Movement + Jiu Jitsu + Fun

Coach Amy
Amy has been training Jiu Jitsu for three years and brings years of experience coaching kids in other sports. As a homeschool mom herself, she has a passion for teaching children and a deep appreciation for the confidence, resilience, discipline, and strength Jiu Jitsu can bring into a child's life.
For The Parent Wondering....
"But my child has never done anything like this."
Perfect.
Kids don't need to be athletic, coordinated, confident, or experienced before they walk through our doors.
That's what we're here to help them build.
Whether your child is outgoing and fearless or needs a little help coming out of their shell, we'll meet them where they are.
Your kid might find their new favorite thing.
The best way to understand Jiu Jitsu is to get on the mats and experience it.
Come meet our coaches, see our kids program, and let your child give it a try.
